I have been making smoothies for about a week now. My online friends swear about the benefits of smoothies so I decided to give it a try. Why not? It is not that expensive to buy fruits to make just a glass of smoothie plus I am not a fan of eating (some) fruits so drinking is the next best option for me. The glass of smoothie in this picture was my very first, a pineapple-mango combo. It was delicious! It filled me up quick that I had a hard time finishing the whole glass. I finished it all up though because I did not want it to go to waste. This first glass had milk and crushed ice in it, things that I did not use on the next mixture. I am sticking to just pure fruits, adding a bit of water so the smoothie will not be too thick. So far, everything is good. I am not tired with it yet which is something to be grateful for. I will try to continue making smoothies as long as I can stand it and as long as my old reliable blender works. I will try to make variations as I go along. I have only used strawberry, plum, grapes, pineapple, and mango. Sometimes I put all mentioned ingredients together but there are times I only use two or three. Perhaps in the future I will be brave enough to try some greens in it like spinach. For now, I will stick to what I know works for me.
